Learn to Jump Over Obstacles
Skate Our Souls begins with a skateboarder traveling along a side-scrolling course.
You need to jump over obstacles and prepare for the platforms ahead.
Hold Spacebar to prepare your jump.
Release the button to launch into the air.
The longer you hold the button before releasing it, the higher your skateboarder jumps.
Try using shorter jumps for low obstacles and higher jumps when you need more clearance.
Perform Flips While Jumping
Skate Our Souls includes several skateboard tricks.
You can perform Kick Flips, Heel Flips, Shove Its, and other movements.
These tricks require button sequences while your skateboarder is airborne.
For example, different combinations of short taps and pauses produce different tricks.
You need to enter the correct sequence before landing.
Practice one trick at a time until you become comfortable with its timing.
Grind Along the Rails
Rails appear throughout the skateboarding courses.
You can use them to perform grinding tricks.
Hold the action button as your skateboarder lands on a rail.
You can also enter a trick sequence before landing to perform a different grind.
Try lining up your jump so the board reaches the rail correctly.
Landing in the wrong position can interrupt your run.

Skate Our Souls also includes manuals.
A manual helps you continue a trick combination after landing.
You can perform one by holding the action button shortly before reaching the ground.
Manuals don’t add points by themselves, but they help keep your current combination active.
This gives you an opportunity to connect several tricks for a better score.
